About AEGT

AI EdTech Governance Trust

AEGT is an independent research trust based in New Zealand. We explore how individuals, institutions, and societies can build trustworthy cognitive systems in the age of artificial intelligence.

Our work integrates research, infrastructure development, educational innovation, and governance design.

We are interested in how people learn, reason, decide, and collaborate in environments increasingly shaped by AI systems.

What Makes AEGT Different

Many organizations focus on AI capabilities.

AEGT focuses on human capabilities.

Our goal is to strengthen human cognition — not to optimize AI performance alone. We believe the most important challenge of the AI era is not building smarter machines, but ensuring that human judgment, agency, and reasoning remain meaningful alongside them.
